This Privacy Policy explains how GetMy.Bio ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services. By using GetMy.Bio, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and the @handle you choose when you create a profile.
- Profile information — the biography details you choose to publish: bio, profession, links, photos, contact details, education, and other fields you fill in.
- Usage data — basic analytics such as page views, and the fact that a signed-in user viewed a profile (this powers the "Who viewed you" feature, subject to your privacy settings).
- Device and technical data — IP address, browser type, and device type, used for security and to prevent abuse.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and improve the service.
- To authenticate you (via a one-time email code — we do not use passwords).
- To display your public profile to visitors.
- To send essential service communications (sign-in codes, account notices).
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
3. What is public
Anything you publish on your profile is public and can be seen by anyone who visits your link or scans your QR code. You control individual fields using the show/hide toggles in your profile settings. We never publish your private login email — only the separate "public email" field you choose to fill in.
4. Sharing of information
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We share data only with service providers necessary to run the product (e.g., payment processing via Dodo Payments, email delivery).
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. We do not store your full card details. Dodo's own privacy policy applies to payment data.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your profile, your data is removed from our systems.
7. Your choices
- Edit or delete any profile field at any time.
- Enable "Browse privately" so your name is not shown when you view others.
- Delete your account to remove your data.
