About

Abhijeet Dipke is an Indian youth leader and the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a Gen Z-led protest movement that grew from one viral social media post into a nationwide force.
The post that started it
In May 2026, after India’s Chief Justice reportedly compared some unemployed young people to “cockroaches” during a hearing, Dipke — a 31-year-old political strategist from a Dalit family — replied with a six-word post: “What if all cockroaches come together?” The message went viral and reclaimed the insult as a badge of pride.
A movement is born
What began as satire quickly became real. The CJP mobilised millions of young people around issues including the NEET-UG exam paper leak and transparency of electoral rolls, using humour and digital organising to pressure India’s institutions.
A new voice
Dipke has been described as a political communications professional who studied public relations in the United States. His movement has been credited with giving a new generation of politically engaged young Indians a voice — and with proving that a single, well-timed idea can reshape a national conversation.
